NFL Team Wheel

Spin the wheel to get a random NFL team. All 32 teams sit on equal slices, so each one has a 1 in 32 chance. Narrow it to the AFC, the NFC or a single division with one tap, take a team off after it lands, or give every player in your league a different team.

Draft order and team draws

Both tools use the teams that are on the wheel right now. Pick a conference or a division above first if you only want those teams.

  • Random draft order

Puts every team on the wheel in a random order, from 1 to 32. Use it for a mock draft, a draft lottery among friends or the order of a bracket game.

    1. A team for every player

Type one name per line. Each player gets a different team, so no two people in your Madden or fantasy league end up with the same one.

How to use the NFL team wheel

Spin in three steps. Choose all 32 teams, one conference or one division, press Spin, and the wheel stops on a random NFL team. The winner card shows the team and can read it aloud.

NFL team wheel after a spin on the 16 AFC teams, stopped on the Kansas City Chiefs
This random NFL team generator gives every team an equal slice; with the AFC filter it picks from 16 teams, and this spin landed on the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fair odds. Every slice is the same size and the result comes from your browser's cryptographic random generator, not from where the wheel was last. With all 32 teams each one has a 3.125% chance, with one conference 6.25% and with one division 25%.

No repeats. Press "Remove & spin again" on the winner card to take the team off the wheel before the next spin, so each team comes up once until the wheel is empty.

Share or stream it. The share link and QR code open the wheel with the same teams on another phone, and the OBS links put it on a Twitch or YouTube stream with its own control panel.

      Use cases

Ways to use a random NFL team generator

      Fantasy football draft order

Load the teams, press Shuffle the order and give each manager the position of their team, or spin once per manager. Everyone sees the draw, so nobody argues about the order.

      Madden and video game challenges

Let the wheel pick the team you play with in Madden or start a franchise with. Give each player their own team with the assign tool so two people never pick the same one.

      Game day and watch parties

Each guest draws a team to cheer for during the week's games, or one team per guest for a playoff party. Remove each team after it lands so every guest gets a different one.

      Wheel challenges on stream

"The wheel picks my team" works well on Twitch and YouTube. Add the wheel to OBS as a browser source and spin it from the control panel while viewers watch.

      Picking a team to follow

New to American football and no team yet? Spin all 32, or only the division closest to where you live, and follow the team the wheel lands on for a season.

      Classroom and PE games

Teachers use the division wheel for quick team names in PE, or the full wheel for a geography game: spin a team and find its city on the map.

      FAQ

      NFL team wheel FAQ

What is an NFL team wheel?

An NFL team wheel (also called an NFL team spinner, NFL team randomizer or random NFL team generator) is a free online wheel loaded with all 32 NFL teams. You spin it and it stops on one team at random, which you can use for drafts, games and challenges.

How do I pick a random NFL team?

Open the wheel, choose all 32 teams, the AFC, the NFC or one division, and press Spin. The wheel slows down and stops on one team, which appears on the winner card. Spin again for another team.

Is the NFL wheel spin really random?

Yes. All slices are the same size and the result comes from crypto.getRandomValues, the cryptographic random generator built into your browser. With all 32 teams each team has a 1 in 32 (3.125%) chance on every spin.

Can I spin only AFC or NFC teams, or one division?

Yes. Tap AFC or NFC above the entries to load that conference's 16 teams, or tap a division such as NFC North to load its four teams. Each conference team then has a 6.25% chance and each division team 25%.

How do I spin without getting the same team twice?

After a spin, press "Remove & spin again" on the winner card. The team leaves the wheel and the next spin picks from the teams that are left. The Winners tab keeps the list of teams already drawn.

Can I make a random NFL draft order?

Yes. Press Shuffle the order in the "Random draft order" box and every team on the wheel is put in a random order from 1 to 32. Copy list copies the numbered order for your league chat.

How do I give every player a different NFL team?

Type the players' names one per line in the "A team for every player" box and press Assign teams. Each player gets a different team from the wheel. With more players than teams, the page tells you how many got none.

Can I add my own teams or edit the list?

Yes. The entries box is a plain list: add college or fantasy team names, delete teams you don't want, and the wheel updates as you type. Your list is saved in this browser for your next visit.
